‘Very Excited For His Return’ – Superlek Thrilled To Compete Alongside Friend Liam Harrison At ONE 168: Denver

Thai superstar “The Kicking Machine” Superlek Kiatmoo9 and English legend Liam “Hitman” Harrison’s Muay Thai brotherhood has seen them become training partners as well as friends.  
 
The pair will feature on the same card at ONE 168: Denver when ONE returns to the United States on September 6 at Ball Arena, and they’ll also be supporting one another ahead of their incredibly tough assignments. 

Superlek will challenge Jonathan “The General” Haggerty for the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title at ONE 168, while Harrison will face Seksan Or Kwanmuang in a 140-pound catchweight battle between two of the sport’s most exciting veterans. 
 
Although he has his own matchup to focus on, “The Kicking Machine” says he’s buzzing about Harrison’s return to the Circle following a serious knee injury that almost forced him into retirement:

“I’m very excited for his return. I’m happy for him that he’s recovered. I believe so many fans are waiting to watch him. I’m looking forward to seeing him in action!”  

Superlek has seen and done so much in the world of elite striking – which includes being the reigning ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion – but he’s incredibly impressed with Harrison and views him as one of the most electrifying fighters on the planet.  
 
Anybody who’s watched “Hitman” compete would agree, and that’s why “The Kicking Machine” is such a fan of the hard-hitting Brit. 

He said of Harrison: 

“He has unique, interesting techniques. He is dangerous, amazing, and very versatile. He’s aggressive and full of surprises as well. I’ve noticed him throwing surprise elbows.  
 
“He’s a great athlete and such an entertainer. He makes any fight exciting.” 

Superlek Plans To Train With ‘Hitman’ Ahead Of Haggerty Duel 

Superlek Kiatmoo9 initially struck up his friendship with Liam Harrison when he traveled to compete on the UK circuit, and they later solidified their bond by training together in Thailand. 
 
Harrison now regularly prepares for his fights at Yokkao Training Center in Bangkok, and when he does, “The Kicking Machine” is one of his main sparring partners.

For his part, the Thai says those sessions are a huge benefit:

“We were training in the same gym for a few months. He’s a very nice person. I’ve learned a lot from watching him during training, and I’m looking forward to learning more.” 

With their calendars set to align for ONE 168: Denver, the iconic strikers could get another chance to help each other level up. 

Ahead of his quest for Jonathan Haggerty’s ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title, Superlek would welcome an opportunity to work with a man he admires so much. Plus, he has Harrison’s backing despite facing a fellow Englishman.

“Liam has invited me to train with him and mentioned that he’s rooting for me to win against Haggerty.”
