‘Reug Reug’ To Face ‘Boucher Ketchup’ In Heavyweight Kickboxing Showdown At ONE Fight Night 23

A heavyweight slugfest steeped in bad blood is officially booked for ONE Fight Night 23: Ok vs. Rasulov on Prime Video.

On July 5 in U.S. primetime, MMA superstar “Reug Reug” Oumar Kane will battle his Senegalese compatriot Mamadou “Boucher Ketchup” Kamara in an explosive kickboxing tilt that’s likely to end in a knockout at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Both men come from a background in Senegalese wrestling – a generations-old combat sport that includes both grappling and striking techniques and is now wildly popular in the West African nation.

Given his success on the ultra-tough Senegalese wrestling circuit, it’s no surprise that “Reug Reug” has enjoyed a meteoric rise through the world of MMA.

The 32-year-old behemoth boasts a 5-1 record in ONE Championship, having used his powerful takedown game, brutal ground-and-pound, and terrifying striking to establish himself as one of the most electrifying fighters in the sport.

Now riding a three-fight winning streak, “Reug Reug” is also slated to challenge three-division ONE World Champion Anatoly “Sladkiy” Maylkhin for the ONE Heavyweight MMA World Title on November 8 at ONE 169: Atlanta.

Before that blockbuster showdown on United States soil, “Reug Reug” will first square off with promotional newcomer “Boucher Ketchup.”

The 34-year-old is also an enormously powerful athlete who has cut his teeth in the Senegalese wrestling scene. Thanks to his entertaining style and inimitable personality, he’s grown a large social media following to cement himself as one of his country’s biggest stars.

Notably, “Boucher Ketchup” has used that social media following to take shots at “Reug Reug” over the years, building tensions to a fever pitch.

Now, these two hard-hitting heavyweights will finally enjoy their chance to slug it out, and they’ll do it in North American primetime on ONE’s massive global platform.
