‘I Will Destroy This Guy’ – ‘Reug Reug’ Oumar Kane Plans To Chop Down Boucher Ketchup At ONE Fight Night 23

Before he challenges three-division king Anatoly “Sladkiy” Malykhin for the ONE Heavyweight MMA World Title later this year, “Reug Reug” Oumar Kane is taking a quick detour and looking to settle some unfinished business.

The Senegalese sensation will face his countryman Boucher Ketchup in a heavyweight kickboxing showdown at ONE Fight Night 23: Ok vs. Rasulov on Prime Video, which broadcasts live in U.S. primetime this Friday, July 5.

“Reug Reug” views this upcoming clash as a way to build some momentum ahead of his scheduled World Championship affair with Malykhin at ONE 169: Atlanta in November.

Eager to wow the fans at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Boxing Stadium this weekend, “Reug Reug” said:

“I’m excited at the chance to perform. I’m fit, I’m not injured, and I’m ready to hurt someone.

“My big fight is for the World Title, but I wanted to hear the roar of the crowd, so this was the best option. I have to destroy this guy.”

Ketchup comes from a Senegalese wrestling background, where Kane has reigned supreme. And just like “Reug Reug,” the 34-year-old behemoth is also a popular figure in their shared homeland.

The two have seemingly been on a collision course for a long time and even traded barbs over social media. However, Kane just sees a contender trying to make a name off his reputation, and he’s not going to let that happen.

“Reug Reug” said:

“He will bring the fight. There are 18 million people waiting to see if he can step up to me. They are saying it’s ‘the Buster Douglas moment’ in Africa, but I will destroy this guy the same way I destroyed Marcus [“Buchecha” Almeida]

“I’m the greatest Senegalese wrestler, they are all my children.”

‘Reug Reug’ Eager To Prove That He’s ONE’s Greatest Heavyweight

“Reug Reug” Oumar Kane’s confidence is soaring ahead of his return to action at ONE Fight Night 23.

The Senegalese wrestling star plans to make quick work of Boucher Ketchup when they step into the ring on July 5. In fact, the 32-year-old doesn’t think this heavyweight kickboxing clash will last more than three minutes.

Kane said:

“He is big and tough, but you can only withstand the axe so much when you’re being chopped down. My prediction is a first-round head kick KO!”

Though Ketchup possesses immense size and strength, “Reug Reug” believes that he is operating on another level.

If he can execute his plan and author a highlight-reel finish on Friday, then Kane’s next goal is to become the first man to defeat three-division king Anatoly Malykhin and claim the ONE Heavyweight MMA World Title in November.

The Senegalese warrior said:

“My advantage is being the greatest. I’m the greatest heavyweight in ONE history – and I’m two fights away from proving it.”
