Jonathan Di Bella To Defend Strawweight Kickboxing World Title Against Prajanchai At ONE Friday Fights 58

A massive World Champion vs. World Champion clash has been added to ONE Friday Fights 58 on April 5.

Jonathan Di Bella will put his ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title on the line against the division’s Muay Thai king, Prajanchai PK Saenchai, at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Italian-Canadian Di Bella defends his throne for the second time after winning it in a classic matchup with “Fighting Rooster” Zhang Peimian at ONE 162 in October 2022.

He returned for his first defense at ONE Fight Night 15 in October 2023, defeating the durable “Mini T” Danial Williams with an immaculate boxing display over five rounds.

Remaining undefeated in kickboxing with a perfect 12-0 slate, Di Bella continues to grow with every outing, but he’ll have his hands full with Prajanchai – a veteran of almost 400 fights.

The ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion is one of the most revered competitors of his generation, holding illustrious World Titles in multiple divisions at both Lumpinee Boxing Stadium and Rajadamnern Stadium.

He cemented his status as the undisputed top dog in “the art of eight limbs” in his rematch against Joseph “The Hurricane” Lasiri this past December. The PK Saenchai Muaythaigym man avenged his lone defeat in the world’s largest martial arts organization with an emphatic KO at ONE Friday Fights 46.

Prajanchai also showed his ability to adapt to kickboxing rules when he defeated Akram Hamidi at ONE Friday Fights 34, preparing himself for a run at the gold.

Interestingly, both Di Bella and Prajanchai have earned reputations as skillful boxers, with few rivals able to match their pugilistic prowess.

This time, however, the slick Team Di Bella Kickboxing man could have met his match in “the sweet science” for the first time. After all, Prajanchai is a WBA Asia South Boxing Champion.

This incredible matchup adds to the previously announced main event between old rivals Superbon Singha Mawynn and Marat Grigorian for the ONE Interim Featherweight Kickboxing World Title.

More huge battles are sure to be announced so stay tuned to onefc.com for more updates.
