“Samingpri” Tagir Khalilov

Hailing from Yekaterinburg, Russia, “Samingpri” Tagir Khalilov is a fiery Muay Thai fighter who is aiming for the top of ONE Championship’s flyweight Muay Thai division.

Early in his career, Khalilov won the National Muay Thai Championship in Russia before representing his homeland in the 2015 IFMA World Cup, where he captured a bronze medal.

In 2019, the striking ace took his talents to Thailand to further hone his craft. In the Southeast Asian country, Khalilov won both the World Muay Thai International and Global Championships while competing in the local Thai circuit. 

Khalilov joined ONE in February 2021 and had a debut to remember. On just a week’s notice, he faced ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon under kickboxing rules at ONE: FISTS OF FURY. 

He dragged the champ through three hard-fought rounds and dropped a razor-thin split decision. However, “Samingpri” earned the respect of ONE’s global fan base instantly. 

After a few more years in Thailand, Khalilov returned to his home country and opened up Samingpri Muay Thai Gym.

The Russian has certainly made his presence known in recent times, scoring two first-round finishes over Chorfah Tor Sangtiennoi and Black Panther at the ONE Friday Fights weekly series in Bangkok’s esteemed Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.
