Stamp Fairtex Picks Phetjeeja To Beat Todd In World Title Unification Clash At ONE Fight Night 20

As the former queen of both sports, three-sport superstar Stamp Fairtex has some insights on the ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Title matchups at ONE Fight Night 20: Todd vs. Phetjeeja on Prime Video in U.S. primetime this Friday.

Janet “JT” Todd will face “The Queen” Phetjeeja in a unification bout for the undisputed atomweight kickboxing gold, while Allycia Hellen Rodrigues will put her atomweight Muay Thai belt on the line against Cristina Morales

Stamp will be watching both battles at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, and she shared her predictions with onefc.com ahead of the stacked all-female card on International Women’s Day.

The Thai is more acquainted with Todd, going 1-1 in a pair of World Title fights against the American veteran over the course of 10 exciting rounds.

Given that experience with the reigning ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Champion, Stamp thinks “JT” can slow down the rabid offense of interim queen Phetjeeja:

“This fight is going to be exciting, but I think they won’t go toe-to-toe too much because Janet will fight at a slower pace. Phetjeeja will be the one who walks toward her.”

However, despite Todd’s skill and veteran savvy, her old foe thinks the younger Phetjeeja has the upper hand with more momentum coming into the contest.

Indeed, the 22-year-old Thai has blitzed her way to a perfect 5-0 record in ONE – claiming the ONE Interim Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Title with a win over Anissa “C18” Meksen last time out – and Stamp sees this as a big advantage over the 38-year-old Todd.

Offering her prediction on the main event, she said:

“I think Phetjeeja is going to win by decision. I don’t think this fight will end with a KO because Janet Todd has a strict guard. She can defend herself really well.

“But Janet stopped being active for a while, whereas Phetjeeja has fought constantly. So, I think Janet will probably be a bit slower than her.”

Stamp On Rodrigues Vs. Morales: ‘I Believe Allycia Can Knock Her Out’

Stamp Fairtex is also personally familiar with half of the upcoming ONE Women’s Atomweight Muay Thai World Title fight between reigning queen Allycia Hellen Rodrigues and challenger Cristina Morales.

Rodrigues took the belt from Stamp back in 2020 and then retained it with a strong showing against Janet Todd in her return from pregnancy in 2023.

So, although Morales is coming off a dominant stoppage win over Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak, Stamp believes the Brazilian will be a step ahead and keep the gold.

The current atomweight MMA queen added:

“My [prediction goes to] Allycia because Cristina’s style relies entirely on her raw power. But she doesn’t have balance with herself. I believe Allycia can knock her out.”
