About Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom

Phetjeeja is an atomweight Muay Thai fighter who’s looking to make her mark in ONE Championship following a lifelong dedication to “the art of eight limbs.”

The Thai standout started Muay Thai at 7 years old and had always wanted to be a fighter. However, Phetjeeja couldn’t find a gym that trained females. So that she could pursue her dreams, her father built Or Mee Khun gym at their home.

“The Queen’s” first taste of competition came against a boy at Mongbondaeng Stadium in Chonburi province. Although she lost, the future Thai star took valuable lessons away from the fight and insisted on continuing in the sport.

By the time she was 10 years old, Phetjeeja had more than 100 fights to her name, 70 of which were against boys. That track record earned her the nickname of “The Girl Who Could Defeat Boys.”

As she grew her skills, “The Girl Who Could Defeat Boys” later became “The Queen,” defeating bigger and more experienced opposition en route to becoming the WMC Muay Thai World Champion at just 14 years old in 2016.

The accolades continued to pour in for Phetjeeja as she tried her luck in boxing, earning a spot on Thailand’s national team. On the squad, she won an amateur medal before turning professional.

Despite her success in boxing, Phetjeeja’s soul yearned for Muay Thai. She returned to her roots, where she eventually captured the attention of ONE Championship.

After two grand performances on the promotion’s ONE Friday Fights event series in early 2023, Phetjeeja earned a six-figure contract with the world’s largest martial arts organization. Then, following two more dominant victories, the Thai defeated Anissa Meksen – long considered the greatest pound-for-pound female striker the planet – to capture the ONE Interim Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Title in December 2023.
